Patient Details
Patient with typical chronic recurrent pilonidal disease. First picture is preoperative photo showing multiple pits and sinus with fistula tract opening. Second picture is perioperative photo immediately after surgery. The drain is removed 3-5 days after surgery. The wound dressing is simply Dermabond which comes off by itself in 2-3 weeks. Patients can shower 48 hours after surgery and the dressing is waterproof. There is no daily dressing changes or wound care. Third photo is three weeks postoperative with wound fully healed.
